There’s a lot to love about TiVO, like being able to skip commercials and order Dominos pizza without interacting with other humans. However, last night the machine once again missed recording a favorite program. Every week, I set it to record American Dad and for some reason, last night it decided not to. Isn’t this the way I, Robot starts?

Of course, it wasn’t the machine’s fault. I set it to record 5 episodes, and keep them until I delete them. I didn’t realize there were already 5 eps on there, so TiVO didn’t record the new one. It also didn’t record last week’s WWE RAW — I assume because it was out of space. Fuck!

So I should just set the TiVO to delete older episodes, right? Wrong! Well, sort of wrong. See, I record new episodes of The Simpsons, as well as reruns (how about the ability to block certain seasons from recording, TiVOgeneers?). One time, I wanted to watch Sunday’s new episode on Monday evening, and TiVO had already deleted it. Double Fuck!

Now I’m gonna be more vigilant in policing my TiVO, which is time that could be spent at the gym. Oh well!
