Well, I've only seen the unthinkable cut scenes, but you've actually played them, so you would know better. However, this guy might disagree with you, lol.

Last year, at a thrift store, I actually managed to find a CD-i (Actually, I have found yet another at a garage sale recently, and some games at a consignment store - you can find anything, I guess.) First thing I did after buying it was to go online and buy Hotel Mario and the 2 of the Zelda games. Here is the thing - Hotel Mario is not a bad game by any means. It has some of the tightest controls for a CD-i game (Which is usually sub-par) and is addictive and challenging. While basically Door-door, it re-dose the game a lot better. Most people just assume the game is bad because of the Silly cut-scenes (and the fact it is on the CD-i.) I guess it really comes down to the fact that not a lot of people have actually played it. I'd give Hotel Mario a chance (that is, in the off chance you get to try it out.)

What's brilliant is that Nintendo takes familiar game-play and aesthetics, but creates new/challenging levels & adds new game-play features.

The nostalgia is the frosting on the game's cake, which is more challenging and thoughtful game design.

Nintendo doesn't even need to try. So their new big game is another Mario game that reminds you of the Mario game you loved when you were a kid? They're the bar band of the gaming industry.

Amen! The more Smash Bros out there, the happier I am in general.

Eh, I've played Sunshine - it's a mess of a concept and I'm not into the gameplay. However, it's certainly not the worst Mario game out there.
