Hey Geoffrey, What Have You Been Up To Lately?
The above image was sent to me by Brian, who really liked my roundup of Mordor images on Comedy.com. The post inspired him to make a new one. Fist pump to you, Brian!
I’ve been hopping around the internet, writing comedy bits for folks. Here’s a roundup:
Over at MadAtoms, two of my recent pieces made the front page of Digg. Thanks, Digg! I also wrote a map for Conan O’Brien, to help him look for new employment:
- Know Your Buzzed About Britcoms
- Know Your Obscure Star Wars Quotes
- Where Will Conan Land? (BTW – Team Conan)
I guest edited at Comedy.com for a few days, covering funny iPad videos and other accidental viral video stars:
- Apple Announces $499 “Pad” of Paper
- Weatherman Claims Snowfall and Boner Both 9 Inches
- Pee-Wee Herman Tries The iPad (Related: I recently got a chance to see Pee-Wee’s new live stage show, and it’s awesome. If you’re in the Los Angeles area and can get cheap seats, definitely go. He has a duet with Chairy!)
I also started blogging for a new site called Technomaly. They have a humorous take on daily tech news. Here are some blogs I wrote for them:
- Steampunk Game Boy Makes 80′s Kids Feel Really Old
- The CoilMaster Mark1: Look Awesome While Shooting Soda Cans
- Airports Aren’t Laughing At Your Twitter Terrorism Jokes
The Leetstreet Boys webcomic is going strong, thanks to our sensational new artist Erin Nagy. We just finished an arc where the band crash lands on top of a sushi restaurant, which desperately needs their help. The fun starts here.
Finally, I updated my reel with new clips, like “A Street Fighter Christmas” and me dressed in an elephant costume:
Also, I’ll be appearing in a comedy show for charity next week. Here’s the info:
HM157 is one of the coolest community use spaces in all of Los Angeles. The only problem is, so much free stuff happens there that the house raises very little money! Why not help the house stay afloat by checking out our comedy show? It’s the perfect way to celebrate the day before Valentine’s Day! And bring your dancing shoes because after the show, we’ll be dancing all night long!
Love + Comedy: A Fundraiser For HM157
Saturday, February 13th @ 10pm
Doors Open @ 8pm
$5 Suggested Donation – Dollar Beers At The Bar!
Working on all sorts of other projects I have to keep hush-hush for now. Stay tuned and learn more. MORE.
